NINE BLOCKS AND QUILT STORIES For quilt alliance donors and members
Celebrate 30 years with us!
This year is the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Quilt Alliance, and one of the ways we’re celebrating is our very first Block of the Month project. We have nine amazing blocks from nine incredible designers coming soon.
Each of their blocks is inspired by some aspect of their quilt story, and we’ll provide guidance and tips as you work through the blocks for documenting and reflecting on YOUR quilt story!
The first Block of the Month block will be released in April. Anyone who is a Quilt Alliance member at any level, or has made a donation of $30 or more in 2023 will receive all nine blocks.

How do I join the Block of the Month subscription?
Block of the Month blocks will be sent to anyone who is a Quilt Alliance member or donor of more than $30 in 2023. Not a member or a donor yet? Join us today or make a donation here.
What do I get each month?
We will send blocks via email once a month from April to December, 2023. Each special subscribers-only email will contain a PDF pattern with dimensions and instructions, tips from the designers, links to interviews and other content featuring our pattern designers, and more.
At the end of our Block of the Month celebration, you’ll have nine fun blocks. Put them together with sashing and you’ll have a cozy 52” square lap quilt!
What if I join after the first month or don't want to make a block?
Don’t worry — you can join the party any time! If you join after April 15th, you’ll still recieve each month’s previous blocks. Each month’s email will have a link to all the blocks released so far.
You can make as many of the blocks as you’d like. Most blocks are beginner-friendly, or include instructions to teach you new skills and techniques.
