The Quilt Alliance brings together a vital, active network of individuals and organizations nationwide including, but not limited to, quiltmakers, guilds, historians, folklorists, archivists, corporations, quilt shops, museums, collectors, universities, and families. This network includes you. As an alliance, we seek to celebrate and preserve quilts’ art and history, and the creativity of quiltmakers both in the past and present.
Membership dues and contributions make up over 60% of our frugal operating budget and enable our mission unlike any other single source of support. You can choose from one of the membership levels below or simply make a donation of the dollar amount you choose. All memberships are renewable annually and tax-deductible.

Is your guild a QA Group Member? If so, you can use your Affiliate discount code to register via the JOIN or RENEW: Individual Members button. You will need the coupon code your guild contact received in order to receive your Affiliate discount.

We use the same form for new and renewing memberships. For renewals, please use the email address used in your QA registrations to date. This avoids duplicate records in our system. You can also renew your membership by logging in to your Members Portal account and select Renew or Upgrade in the upper right corner of your dashboard.

When your guild joins the QA — you join for free!
Use our Affiliate discount! When your guild or group joins the QA, we assign your group a coupon code that your members can use to register themselves as QA Individual Members for one year (must join while group membership is active). The coupon covers free membership at the Friend Level ($35) or provides a $35 discount for all higher levels.
Guild/group membership ($200/year)
Benefits include:
- One free virtual or on-site Quilt Alliance presentation for your group per year (travel, accommodations, and per diem for the speaker are not included)
- Free banner ads (two per year) to advertise your group’s events in the Alliance newsletter.
- Free Affiliate Memberships. Your members will receive a coupon code to register themselves as QA Individual Members for one year (must join while group membership is active). Finishing Touches: Creative Cards and Labels for Gifting and Treasuring Your Quilts
A New Member Workshop from Hannah Parks (@halfsquarehannah)
This is the first of four different on-demand workshops we have planned for members in 2026.
In this class, learn two of Hannah’s favorite ways to document her quilts. First, she’ll show you her freezer paper method of making miniature quilt blocks on cardstock, which makes for a sweet memento to gift alongside a quilt. Then she’ll share her method of making quilt labels out of selvedges. This class will inspire you to document your quilts in creative and playful ways, whether you’re gifting them or treasuring them in your own home.
Hannah Parks is a quilter based in Peacham, Vermont. She enjoys colorful improv piecing, playful hand quilting, and digging into piles of scraps and selvedges. When she’s not quilting, you’ll find her reading fantasy novels, lifting weights, or building quilt forts with her two young kids.
